More than the sum of our parts.

"The reasonable adapts oneself to the world. The unreasonable insists on trying to make the world conform. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable," said Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. Learn more about disruptive's unreasonable people here.

Why is something the way it is? Markus challenged his teachers and professors with this most fundamental form of disruptive resistance at a young age. Later, hardened and trained accordingly, his clients in business and positioning consulting learned to appreciate the former naughtiness and to love his disruptive solutions.

With 20 years of experience in challenging projects in a wide variety of industries such as media, finance, health, industry or retail, he refreshingly combines competence with cheekiness and is today considered one of the European experts in "disruptive strategy" and "corporate disruption".

For this very reason, Markus is also a much sought-after speaker in German-speaking countries. In addition, he is a passionate entrepreneur and a restless fifth of a startup that will turn the European electricity market upside down. In summary, he lives, thinks and dances happily in love between Vienna, Tel Aviv and San Francisco.

The team's bi-, tri-, quattrolingual disruptor – in the best sense of the word. Victoria is not only fluent in four languages, but also in the language of start-ups. As a mentor, co-organizer and volunteer, she has inspired and motivated young people to dive into the startup scene during her SIMC Masters at events such as Entrepreneurship Avenue, Pioneers Festival and found! She has worked out her own ideas in incubation programs. At Deloitte Digital, Victoria developed digitization strategies for international clients, practiced strategic price management, and lived agile project management. She now draws from all this experience in her role at disruptive and in her consulting meetings with "grown-up" companies. She is the innovative mind that puts the necessary fleas in companies' ears to initiate a change in thinking. Her own drive? Sports. We can all take a leaf out of her motivation for cycling, bouldering, running & hiking.

As a rising star in the disruptive sky, Sonja doesn't shy away from any challenge. And that's a good thing, because with her ambition and concentrated tech knowledge, the native of Nuremberg sometimes makes us all look quite surprised. As a self-employed communication designer, she had content customers in Austria and Germany for over 10 years. And it soon became apparent that the most important constant in her work was change – by bringing clients to new perspectives that no one else could or wanted to see. Most recently, she was able to put her strong passion for technology and design to good use as Creative Lead for and with TEDxVienna. Here she learned how important it is to question the core of a company and to support innovative ideas. She`s truly passionate about the purpose and deep motivations behind a organization or company, which she can fully unfold and prosper at disruptive for even more great clients.

With foresight and depth – that describes Nina´s work best. Drawing unusual connections in no time is her specialty. When asked how she acquired that ability, she´ll modestly tell you she doesn´t know exactly. After studying art history in Vienna, she completed her master´s degree in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam – an experience she can still draw on today. A worldly and future-oriented course of study that taught her that no subject ever stands by itself. It´s similar to nature: the smallest changes and influences in one area can mean unexpected consequences in another. Nina manage to keep track of these ecosystems and recognizes their interconnectivity. After having worked in the realms of communication and branding, Nina appreciates the freedom in her position as a consultant at disruptive. She finds it refreshing as to how far she is allowed to go in order to bring companies from the present into the future.

There is more to it than that! Anja has been following this credo all her life. She loves to get to know new things and to jump between perspectives. Because there is always more than meets the eye. This applies to people, things and organizations. For her training, Anja did numerous internships in the social sector, with and for people of different ages and with different needs. The time spent in these institutions was a formative one. Not only was she able to learn a lot from the people and take a lot with her, but she also gained insight into the diverse organizational structures and cultures. Always finding her way around, fitting in and recognizing where to support people and organizations is one of Anja's strengths. What she learns is put directly into practice. And the learning never stops: While walking, the business psychology student likes to fill her head with new impressions, whether talking to friends or listening to a podcast in her ear.

Johanna – our assistant who knows how to communicate. Her dedication and openness to new challenges are a great asset to our team. Always ready to joke around and eager to understand and meet the needs of others, she sees communication not just as a tool, but as the basis for successful collaboration. With a bachelor's degree in journalism and communication science already in her pocket, the Viennese is currently training to become a psychotherapist. Her flexibility, communication and empathetic nature are strengths that she is also developing through psychosocial internships in retirement homes, with children and teenager. In addition to her enthusiasm for communication and psychology, she also has a particular passion for music and enjoys singing. Through her passion she is able to add an artistic touch to our team, which we greatly appreciate.
